A seminar-meeting on the role of women in business was held at the upper house of the Russian Parliament (Federation Council). The event began with a speech by Lev Zakirov, Chairman of the Chamber of Young Legislators under the Federation Council, who moderated the meeting. Igor Treskov, a member of the Federation Council Committee for Economic Policy, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. Among the attendees were Yulia Davankova, Chair of the regional branch of the "Women in Business" association, representatives of the Directorate of the Organising Committee of the International Municipal BRICS Forum (IMBRICS Forum), Natalya Fedorova, Head of the Directorate for Paid Services and Information Support in Procurement at the SME Corporation JSC, and other representatives of major organisations.
During the seminar, successful women entrepreneurs shared their stories, discussing the challenges they face in running their businesses and how they achieve their goals. Participants addressed key issues faced by women in business and proposed potential solutions. Particular attention was paid to creating favourable conditions for the development of women’s entrepreneurship and supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening the role of women in the economy.

Speech by Elena Belyakova, Head of the Directorate of the Organising Committee of the IMBRICS Forum 2025
In her speech, Elena Belyakova spoke about the development of international business relations through the IMBRICS Forum platform. She emphasised that the IMBRICS Forum is an important communication and business platform aimed at strengthening cooperation between BRICS countries and other friendly states.
Elena Belyakova outlined plans for the IMBRICS Forum in 2025, which aim to enhance the business image of Moscow, promote the city’s advanced innovative solutions, and foster business integration. She highlighted that the Forum’s mission is to develop new strategies for the development of cities, municipalities, and international regions through the exchange of experience and comprehensive, unified approaches to addressing key challenges in economic development and foreign economic cooperation among the largest megacities of the BRICS countries.
