The International Municipal BRICS Forum will gather around 5,000 participants from more than 50 countries to develop solutions in the field of sustainable development.
From 29 to 31 October 2025, the International Municipal BRICS Forum (IMBRICS Forum) will be held at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre in Saint Petersburg. This is a key event for mayors, governors, entrepreneurs, and international experts, where effective governance models will be presented and large-scale intermunicipal projects launched.
In 2025, the Forum will, for the first time, be held in synergy with the International Forum-Exhibition "Russian Industrialist". This will create a unique integrated platform where developers of regional programmes and urban solutions will be able to directly engage with industrial and technological companies, as well as investors.
The business agenda of the IMBRICS Forum focuses on 15 practical tracks, including: smart cities and digitalisation — how technology transforms urban management; green transition and sustainable development — environmental initiatives and clean technologies; municipal finance and investment; development of tourism, sport, and cultural heritage; social innovation and youth initiatives. Special attention will be given to strengthening business communication and intergovernmental municipal cooperation through the practices of public diplomacy.
IMBRICS Forum 2025 is not only about discussion but also a "roadmap" for concrete action — a unique opportunity to establish long-term partnerships and exchange effective models for the development of cities and regions.
In 2024, the Forum’s contribution to the development of international cooperation was recognised with letters of appreciation from the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov.
The General Partner of the IMBRICS Forum 2025 is the Government of Moscow. The Forum is held with the support of the Federation Council, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Government of Saint Petersburg, Moscow City Duma, All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government, Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and the Roscongress Foundation.
