The megacities of BRICS countries concentrate key industrial, technological, and innovation centres. Chambers of commerce and industry in these cities play a crucial role in various areas: from localisation of production to support for exports and the digitalisation of SMEs. This session will be a key event within the thematic block and will bring together representatives of chambers of commerce from major BRICS cities and partner countries, as well as the business community, to exchange strategies and best practices for cooperation.
Session: "Role of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Developing Industrial and Technological Partnerships"
The session will examine municipal strategies aimed at creating conditions for technological self-sufficiency: launching accelerators, supporting technology parks, stimulating local manufacturing, and attracting talent. Special attention will be paid to the exchange of successful practices among BRICS countries and to opportunities for joint initiatives.
Session: "Technological Leadership and Innovation Localisation"
The session will be dedicated to the use of smart technologies (IoT, AI, Big Data) to improve quality of life and address social challenges in BRICS cities. Participants will discuss how innovations in urban safety, healthcare, education, and the agro-industrial complex can enhance the social environment. Particular attention will be paid to international cooperation for scaling up successful practices and overcoming barriers.
Session: "Smart Technologies for the Future: The Social Dimension"
"Industry. Technological Progress" Track
Today, youth initiatives are becoming a driving force for social and economic development, shaping the agenda of the future. In BRICS countries and other friendly states, youth-led projects are creating a new reality – from digital services and volunteering to entrepreneurship and urban planning solutions.
The session will focus on best practices in youth policy across BRICS+ countries. It will bring together representatives of youth parliaments, entrepreneurs, scientists, agricultural specialists, and professionals from the fields of culture, education, and digital technologies. Participants will discuss effective formats for supporting youth initiatives, tools for engaging young leaders in local development, and will exchange experience in implementing projects at municipal, regional, and federal levels.
Particular attention will be paid to the opportunities for international youth cooperation: internships, educational programmes, accelerators, and platforms for joint work on socially significant tasks. The session will serve as a space for horizontal dialogue, and for strengthening and developing connections between the territories of BRICS+ countries through the lens of the youth agenda.
